The selection process

The selection process unfolds in five steps:

Registration online*

You will answer questions about your motivation to become a teacher through the Teach for Romania program, your educational background (studies) and your professional or extracurricular experience.

Assessment center

Candidates will go through a personal interview, a mock classroom observation, a critical thinking test and a group exercise. More information about this stage will be provided when candidates are invited to interview.

Offers

At the end of the evaluation period, admitted candidates will receive offers of admission into the Teach for Romania program.

The Leadership Summer Academy

This is a residential training program covering teaching and learning methods, leadership, pedagogical competence and practical teaching skills over a 6-week period in July and August.

Placement

At the end of the evaluation period, admitted candidates will be supported in applying for employment at one of Teach for Romania’s partner schools. More information regarding this process are provided during the evaluation period.

*By submitting their CV and the Registration Form candidates agree that their personal data:

  • Will be stored by Teach for Romania and processed by the organization in view of achieving the statutory objectives of Teach for Romania;
  • Will be transmitted to collaborators in the country, to service providers, affiliates or other Teach for Romania partners in view of achieving the statutory objectives of the organization or of evaluating and promoting the organization’s activity.

The above-mentioned section is provided in compliance with the provisions of Law 677/2001 for the personal data protection regarding the processing of personal data and the free circulation of such data, declaring that they have taken knowledge of the fact that they can exercise the rights provided by this law, especially the right of access, the right of intervention upon data, and the right of opposition. These rights can be exercised by submitting a written application, dated, signed and submitted to Teach for Romania.
